GHAYAL ONCE AGAIN

GHAYAL ONCE AGAIN: is a 2016 Indian action film directed by Sunny Deol featuring Sunny Deol, Soha Ali Khan, Om Puri, Shivam Patil, Aanchal Munjal, Rishabh Arora, Diana Khan, Narendra Jha.The sequel to the 1990 super hit Ghayal.

PLOT: 26 years later after Ghayal, despite the fact that Ajay(Sunny) gets released from the jail, he still gets haunted by the flashes of the years gone by in his life,is going through treatment under DR. Riya(Sofa). Ajay, who now is the chief of a news agency named 'Satyakaam', fights for every bit of the truth through his newspaper.Meanwhile, Ajay's close friend Joe D'souza (Om Puri), who is a retired DCP turned an active RTI activist gets killed by the business tycoon Raj Bansal (Narendra Jha)'s short tempered son in a fit of rage. Unknowingly, the whole incident accidentally gets captured in the camera that belongs to Anushka (Aanchal Munjal), who is best friends with Rohan (Shivam Patil), Zoya (Daina Khan) and Varun (Rishabh Arora). And when Raj Bansal gets to know about the secret video tape, he tells his henchmen to eliminate the four children as they pose extreme danger to him and well as to the image of his gigantic empire. So all the four students are in danger.Ajay is the only one to stand between the bad guys and the innocent do-gooders.The rest of the film is about How Ajay saves those students & how he punishes the culprit who killed Joe.

PERFORMANCES: Sunny as a actor, does a sincere attempt & as a director, does a better than decent job. He manages to keep the plot believable and keep you involved in the goings on.Soha Ali Khan, who plays his doctor/love interest, doesn't get to do much while the four kids have done a decent job.Narendra Jha has put in an honest effort, but he lacks the menacing aura that the late Amrish Puri as Balwant Rai could project with a mere glance.

MUSIC: composed by Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy is no great show

What separates Ghayal Once Again from most other Bollywood franchises is that it is a genuine sequel to the 1990 super hit Ghayal and takes off from where the previous film left.Though not as emotionally engaging as the original, the sequel delivers what it promises on the action front. Skilfully shot, elaborate nail-biting chase sequences in the train and the mall leave you glued to your seats, gasping for breath. Heavy-duty fist fights are equally gripping but the helicopter actions scenes could have been either avoided or done in a better fashion.Poor work of CGI.

The biggest letdown in the film is absence of Sunny Deol's elements of trademark action and hard-hitting dialogues.

Overall,Ghayal Once Again is one time watch film.

SAALA KHADOOS

SAALA KHADOOS: is a 2016 Indian Tamil-Hindi sports drama film written and directed by Sudha Kongara starring R Madhavan, Ritika Singh, Mumtaz Sorcar, Zakir Hussain, Nasser, M K Raina.

PLOT: Adi(Madhavan) is a failed boxer, who- despite of being very talented- fell victim to the dirty politics in the boxing association. Ten years later, he is a coach for women's boxing teams but is extremely angry and frustrated with the partiality in selection. Due to his rift with the association head Dev Khatri (Zakir Hussain), he is falsely charged for sexual harassment and transferred to Chennai. Despite the very poor infrastructure, Prabhu manages to find talent in a road side fish seller Madhi (Ritika Singh) whose sister Luxmi (Mumtaz), part of the boxing team, is trying to get a police job with her sports credentials.Adi notices that Madhi is capable of and bears all her tantrums and fights to train her, to make her a champion.Adi dreams of finding and grooming a boxer who can represent India and bring home the Gold. The road, of course, is paved with more thorns. Will his dream come true is rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Madhavan looks every bit the disgruntled coach and totally takes the cake when it comes to hurtling abuses – if nothing else, his acting justifies the film’s title. He makes us believe he can play the entire opposite of the mellow, henpecked hubby in 'Tanu Weds Manu' series. Zakir Hussain also slips into his role as a lecherous, scheming and influential man. In comparison, Ritika Singh falls a little short in her debut performance, but even she has her moments but she is definitely a revelation and a find of Bollywood.Mumtaz Sorcar tries her best to get into the skin of her Laxmi & has got potential.

MUSIC: is composed by Santhosh Narayanan."Saala Khadoos" ,"Dil Ye Ladaku","Jhalli Patakha" stand out from among the rest of the songs.

Saala Khadoos is unable to rise above the predictability but direction, acting, screenplay are making this different from other sports related films & manages to engage through out the film. The camerawork is praiseworthy. Sivakumar Vijayan's cinematography is well-done.

Overall,Saala Khadoos is surely watchable for the performances by its cast.

AIRLIFT

AIRLIFT: s a 2016 Indian war thriller film directed by Raja Krishna Menon, and starring Akshay Kumar,Nimrat Kaur,Inaamulhaq,Purab Kohli,Ninad Kamat & Prakash Belawadi. The film is loosely based on the true story of how Indians were evacuated from Kuwait after the Iraqi invasion in 1990 during the Iraq-Kuwait war carried out during the reign President Saddam Hussein of Iraq.

PLOT: Ranjit Katiyal (Akshay), a construction tycoon, who has always seen himself as a Kuwaiti, rather than an Indian, living with his wife Amrita (Nimrat Kaur) and little daughter Shimu in Kuwait when Saddam’s forces drive into the streets, bombing buildings and randomly firing their weapons.Ranjit unknowingly becomes the man who all 1,70,000 Indians look up to for getting them out safely from Kuwait. How they, with the help of Ranjit Katyal, managed to survive the Iraqi invasion, and against all odds travelled a thousand kilometres across the border into Amman, Jordan is rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Akshay delivers a controlled performance for the most part.Probably he displays a range of emotions which he probably keeps reserved for these kind of films.Nimrat Kaur throws her lot behind Amrita and proves yet again. Her confrontation scene with Prakash Belavadi leaves one speechless. Belavadi, on his part, is fabulous as the irritable, always-complaining old man George. Purab Kohli strikes the right notes with his Ibrahim. Filmistaan star Inaamulhaq's Major Khalaf Bin Zayd is at once subtly menacing and somewhat pity-evoking.

MUSIC:composed by Amaal Mallik and Ankit Tiwari."Soch Na Sake","Dil Cheez Tujhe Dedi" & "Tu Bhoola Jise" are good songs.

The film is solidly plotted, well executed and well-acted but climax could have been better, more exciting. The last bit of the film looks hurried. It is almost like the filmmaker too couldn't wait to finish the film and get home,

Overall Airlift is the story of unparalleled courage and unsung heroes. From unknown names in the Ministry of External Affairs in Delhi to people who had their Indianness rearing its head from within just when it was required, Airlift is un-miss-able

KYA KOOL HAI HUM 3

KYA KOOL HAI HUM 3: is a 2016 Bollywood sex-comedy film directed by Umesh Ghadge starring Tusshar Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani ,Mandana Karimi in lead roles along with Gizele Thakral, Claudia Ciesla, Krishna Abhishek, Shakti Kapoor, Darshan Jariwala.

PLOT: Kanhaiyya (Tusshar Kapoor) is a good-for-nothing guy who gets kicked out of his house by his business tycoon father (Shakti Kapoor) & his best buddy Rocky (Aftab Shivdasani) who have, so far, done everything together.Due to their constant goof ups, the two end up broke and homeless. However, a ray of hope comes to them in the form of their long lost friend Mickey (Krishna Abhishek) who is based in Bangkok. Mickey invites Rocky and Kanhaiya to Bangkok to try their hand at making a living there. However, what Mickey refrains from telling them is that he makes porn films for a living, along with his regular set of actors in the form of Sakku (Gizele Thakral), Mary Lee (Claudia Ciesla), Sushil (VJ Andy) and his colleague played by Danny Sura. Though Rocky and Kanhaiya are initially reluctant to work as porn stars, the lure for money convinces them to agree to be a part of Mickey's porn star group. All goes well till the time Kanhaiya falls head over heels in love with Shalu (Mandana Karimi). In order to impress her, he always is willing to walk that extra mile. But when Shalu tells Kanhaiya that her father Surya Karjatya (Darshan Jariwala) wants to see him and his family for their marriage, Kanhaiya, left with no choice, tells the 'porn stars' group to disguise themselves as his traditional 'sanskari' family. How does Kanhaiya pass off his porn star friends as his family to make an impression on his girlfriend’s 'sanskari' father is rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Aftab is good. Krushna is doing the same acting which he generally does in any Comedy Shows.Tusshar is useless(Until or unless Balaji Motion Pictures is behind him,we have to bear him).Mandana looks hot only.

MUSIC: composed by Sajid-Wajid.Two songs "Jawani le doobi" & Öh boy Oh boy" are good.

Sex comedy is such a topic that everyone can't handle it properly. If u can manage it then it will be a laugh riot & if u mis-handle it then it will be a disaster. So later part of last sentence happens to the director Umesh Ghadge. The film suffers from a weak script and vacuous screenplay which will be a huge turnoff even for its target audience. The masses will be disappointed.
Some parody of Bollywood film, some dialogues are funny & entertaining but not enough to make a film watchable.

Overall,Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 is complete disaster film. There’s no sex and no comedy in this one.Its prequels are very much better than this film.

MONCHORA

MONCHORA: is a 2016 Bengali film directed by Sandip Ray., based on the story of same name by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay starring Abir Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Paran Bandopadhyay.
PLOT: Renowned astrologer Jadunath Choudhury(Paran) lives with his grandson Manmatha(Saswata) & granddaughter Nanda(Raima). In Choudhury family there is a big size ruby for last 300 yrs & it has been worshiped as GOD.Many crooks have eyes on that ruby & trying to steal.A thief named Dibakar Roy(Abir) comes to steal that ruby & caught red handed by Nanda. After hearing the backgorund of Dibakar,Nanda gives him a chance to change his nature & assists him to find a job as a secretary of Mr. Choudhury.Nanda's elder brother Manmatha is currently jobless & has a affair with Lily(June) who is planning to have that priceless ruby. Now how thief turn secretary Dibakar saves the ruby from the thieves & Manmatha form Lily are rest of the story.
PERFORMANCES: Paran Bandopadhyay's grandfather act is natural, effortless and a treat to watch. And so is Saswata's lost-in-love performance. Abir and Raima, too, have put in subtle and beautiful performances. June is also good as Manmatha's lover with a hidden motive. In short, the actors have been used in a very balanced and beautiful manner and they have done complete justice to their roles.
MUSIC: composed by Sandip Roy.The film has no songs though the background track melds with the narrative, supporting the visuals totally. The lack of songs also keeps the story short and crisp; hence, it's a treat that lasts just one and a half hours
A simple tale told in such a minimalistic way by Sandip Ray that it doesn't need anything else to connect with the audience. The camerawork is good, not that the film demands anything extraordinary. The approach here, too, is very balanced. No unnecessary close-ups, most shots traditional and soothing, no jerks or sudden zooms for the kicks — in a nutshell, a smooth, simple approach, just like the rest of the film. The credit definitely goes to Sandip Ray, who has created on-screen magic.
But it's the overall positivity of the film that touches you.
Overall,Monchora is must watch film. The credit definitely goes to Sandip Ray, who has created on-screen magic. He has given Bengali movie-goers a gift that's a must-see for all those who value good stories and great performances.

WAZIR

PERFORMANCES: Mr. Bachchan is excellent as usual.Riding on a wheel chair,he delivers a brilliant performance.Farhan Akhtar gives his most emotionally nourished performance to date.Neil Nitin Mukesh is convincing as the character edging with psychopath bend in his cameo.Aditi Rao Hydari as Daanish's wife Ruhana didn't get much scope though she is impressive.

MUSIC: composed by Shantanu Moitra, Ankit Tiwari, Advaita (band), Prashant Pillai, Rochak Kohli, and Gaurav Godkhindi. The song "Tere Bin" is very good."Atrangi Yaari" is also good.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Abhijat Joshi's screenplay is tight while the twists are being placed on the viewer's way.Its successful to hold the suspense till the end.
The film’s most interesting part lies in the fact that it is a revenge drama but the protagonists are not angry. They are cold-blooded in their devious planning and perfect implementation.Apart from the smart storyline, powerful performances are the backbone of Wazir.Wazir is more enjoyable because of the chemistry between the two male leads than anything else.

Overall,Wazir is definitely worth a watch. This is quite comfortably the best emotional thriller from Bollywood in years.

BAJIRAO MASTANI

BAJIRAO MASTANI: is an Indian epic historical romance film co-written, produced and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali starring Ranveer Singh , Priyanka Chopra,Deepika Padukone, Tanvi Azmi, Vaibbhav Tatwawdi and Milind Soman.Based on the Marathi novel Raau by Nagnath S. Inamdar.

PLOT: In the early 18th century, the Maratha Chhatrapati Shahu's (Mahesh Manjrekar) court needs a new Peshwa.Minister Pant (Milind Soman) chooses to nominate a young Bajirao (Ranveer Singh) & is given the title of Shrimant Peshwa. Ten years later, Bajirao lives with his wife Kashibai (Priyanka Chopra),mother Radhabai (Tanvi Azmi),brother Chimaji Appa(Vaibbhav Tatwawdi ).During the Mughal invasion, Bajirao is away from home planning an attack on Delhi when he meets Mastani (Deepika Padukone) who has traveled to seek his help to save her hometown Bundelkhand which is being held captive by the Mughals. Soon, in the midst of the battle, the duo fall in love with each other. The real drama starts when Bajirao's own mother conspires against Mastani.
Will Bajirao and Mastani’s inter-religious love breathe in the strong opposition of his Hindu community and family? Will Kashi accept the fact that she has to share her husband with Mastani for the rest of her life? What each of them sacrifices for their love and pride, forms the crux of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Ranveer as Bajirao undoubtedly delivers his career best performance.Right from picking up a brilliant Maharashtrian accent to his confident body language, he is completely droolworthy. The efforts he has taken to excel those battle scenes is visible.Deepika looks beautiful. She is very good but is not her best performance.Priyanka shines as the Peshwa wife who is innocent and child-like at start but matures and stands tall as a lady after her husband re-marries.Tanvi Azmi delivers another spectacular performance with her act as Bajirao’s widowed mother.Supporting cast of Milind Soman and Vaibhav Tatwawdi are well done.

MUSIC: is composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself. The songs "Deewani Mastani","Malhari" ,"Mohe Rang Do Laal" ,"Pinga" are very good but "Aayat" sung by Arijit Singh is awesome.

Costumes, sets, production design and Sudeep Chaterjee’s cinematography all confluence into a magnificent presentation.
Though its not a war film. Its completely romantic saga. Some history has been altered to give it a filmy style

Overall,Bajirao Mastani is a good film & its a must watch.
