DAWAAT-E-ISHQ

DAWAAT-E-ISHQ: is a comedy drama film directed by Habib Faisal starring Aditya Roy Kapur,Parineeti Chopra & Anupam Kher.

PLOT: Gulrez Qadir aka Gullu(Parineeti Chopra) lives with her father(Anupam Kher) in Hyderabad. After being rejected by a string of guys for being unable to pay Dowry, and getting her heart broken by Amjad(Karan Wahi), she decided on going to America for future studies.To fulfil her dreamshe made a plan.Gulrez went with her father to Lucknow using fake identity to get married to a guy quoting the highest dowry price and then file the anti dowry case against them to get lumpsum alimony. But she met Tariq Haider aka Taru (Aditya Roy Kapoor),a kabab shop owner, despite being nothing like a gentleman was kind, sensitive and loved her for the person she was.But Tariq's father demanded dowry of Rs.40 lakhs.Gullu & her father proceeded as per their plan.She married Taru.Then she filed a dowry harassment case against Tariq using 498A.On other side,Gullu fell in love with Taru but when she realised then already case has been filed.Gullu & her father came back to Hyderabad.Now what step Taru will take to find Gullu & what will happen to their relationship are rest of the story.

PERFORMACES: Aditya Roy Kapoor was very good.Parineeti looked very beautiful as usual & acted well but probable this was her weakest performance till date.Anupam Kher was ok.

MUSIC: composed by Sajid-Wajid.The songs "Daawat-e-Ishq" ,"Mannat" ,were good.

Starting with an interesting plot,the film couldn't hold that flavour till end.2nd half was quite boring and stretched.Thrill at the climax was missing.The actors try their best to add life to a film but couldn't succeed.

Overall,Dawaat-e-ishq was a so-so film.U can easily give it a miss.

FINDING FANNY

FINDING FANNY: is an English/Hindi satirical film, directed and written by Homi Adajania featuring Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor.

PLOT: The story revolved around five characters and was set in a village called Pocolim in Goa.Gabo(Ranveer Singh),Angie(Deepika) & Savio(Arjun) were best friends in school.Savio loved Angie but when he came to know about Angie'e marriage with Gabo,he left the village.On the day of Angie's r marriage her husband Gabowas died accidentaly.Now widow Angie lived with her mother in law Rosalina(Dimple).Savio returned to the village after 6yrs & worked for a painter Don Pedro (Pankaj Kapoor) who wanted to make a portrait of Rosalina.On the other hand One night, the old postman Ferdie (Naseeruddin Shah), received a letter that was slipped under his door.He realized that it was the letter he had written 46 years ago to the love of his life,Stefanie Fernandes(Anjali Patil) aka Fanny,asking for her hand in marriage.All these years Ferdie thought that Fanny had rejected him. He decided to find his beloved Fanny and tell her the truth.Then Angie,Savio,Rosalina,Pedro & Ferdie set out for a trip to find Fanny.How did this trip change their lives forever was rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur, Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor,all were just fantastic fitting perfectly in their characters. Deepika looked extremely beautiful wit her different look.

MUSIC: composed by Mathias Duplessy & Sachin-Jigar.The songs " Fanny re" & " "Shake Your Bootiya" were good and beautifulu picturised using puppet of leading characters of the film.

A very different story,good script,nicely directed,very good acting,attractived starcast,Anil Mehta's beautiful cinematography made this a good film.The film is not a comedy.It has its light moments, with enough scenes where you cannot stop laughing with the characters.

The movie might not be 'entertaining' for the fans of typical bollywood masala entertertainer.This is a light hearted film.

Overall,Finding Fanny is surely watchable.

CREATURE 3D

CREATURE 3D: is 3D monster thriller science fiction film directed by Vikram Bhatt starring  Bipasha Basu,Imran Abbas Naqvi, Mukul Dev in lead roles.

PLOT: Ahana Dutt (Bipasha Basu) has shifted base from Mumbai to Himachal to set up her own boutique hotel Grandale Hotel. She moved out of Mumbai because her dad committed suicide after being harassed by builders and the land mafia.After a grand opening, the place was struck a calamity with a sudden string of deaths around it. An unknown creature arrived and started picking off her guests one by one. It seemed like a wild animal attack.After one of such unfortunate incidents, a survivor described the animal as a 10 feet tall monster.Mumbai based Professor Sadana(Mukul Dev) understood the animal as a Brahmarakshas killing whom was next to impossible. The hotel was shut down. Bankers wanted to seize control and her only option was to sell it all off. But she stayed on and decided to take on the monster head on within 11 days. How did she accomplish was rest of the story.

PERFORMANCE: Bips was good,tried very hard to hold the ground.She looked very tough.Others were ok.

MUSIC: compsed by Tony Kakkar and Mithoon."Sawan aya hai" sung by Arijit Sing is superb.

The portrayal of the creature was a combination of all such animals that we have seen on the screen so far.Probably Brahmarakshas was the cousin of Bunyip of Chhander Pahar fame.It also had long moustache.

Storyline,screenplay,direction,horror sequences are failed to impress totally.During climax sequence,some situation will make u bore by the foolish behavior of the leading actors.

Overall,Creature 3D is poor film.U can easily miss it.

RAJA NATWARLAL

RAJA NATWARLAL: is a Bollywood crime thriller film directed by Kunal Deshmukh featuring Emraan Hashmi,Humaima Malick, Paresh Rawal, Kay Kay Menon and Deepak Tijori.

PLOT: Raja (Emraan Hashmi) and Raghav (Deepak Tijori) lived off conning people.Raja wanted to go for a big catch so that he can marry his lady love Zia(Humaima Malick) who worked as bar dancer.Oneday Raja & Raghav robbed Rs 80 lakh which landed them in trouble and Raghav was killed.Raja came to know that the owner of that Rs.80 lakh was Vardha Yadav (Kay Kay Menon), a billionaire based in Cape Town ,who ordered to kill Raja & Raghav.Raja vowed revenge.So he met a former experienced con man Yogi (Paresh Rawal) to seek help.Yogi who was the elder brother of Raghav.Now Yogi & Raja made a plan to con Vardha of Rs.100 crore as revenge.How did they succeed was rest of the story with some twists and turns.

PERFORMANCES: Emraan was good.Paresh Rawal as usual very good.It was only Deepak Tijori who impressed me during his small time screen presence in the film.Kay Kay Menon was ok.Humaima had nothing to do,She was there only to fulfill the need of the heroin.

MUSIC: composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.The songs lyk "tere hoke rehenge" & " Dukki tikki" were good.

With its many twists, the film actually had enough potential to be a good film but problem was that we have seen this kind of films(story line) several times.

Overall, Raja Natwarlal was a average film.It can be watched once & is recommended home viewing only.

MARDAANI

MARDAANI: is a  Hindi crime drama film directed by Pradeep Sarkar starring  Rani Mukerji in the lead role with Jisshu Sengupta and Tahir Bhasin.It is said to be inspired from Hollywood film Taken.

PLOT: Shivani Shivaji Roy (Rani Mukerji) was a senior inspector of the criminal branch in Mumbai. She lived with her husband, Dr. Bikram Roy (Jisshu Sengupta), and her little niece Meera. A teenage girl, Pyaari (Priyanka Sharma) who was like a daughter to her, was kidnapped and smuggled out of the city Shivani started probing into the disappearance of Pyaari.She started investigation that leads her to uncover an organized sex trafficking racket.Soon she was involved in a cat-and-mouse chase with a mysterious drugs-and-prostitution kingpin Walt/Kunal Rastogi(Tahir Bhasin).How did Shivani trace Walt and rescue Pyaari and other girls from that sex racket were rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Rani Mukerji was just brilliant.Her acting was superb.Tahir Bhasin was good.

MUSIC: composed by Shantanu Moitra.Only one song featured in the whole movie that was Mardaani anthem sung by Sunidhi Chauhan.

This movie deals with the burning issue lyk Human Trafficking.A very good and uncommon story plot,good script,well directed,tremendously pacy story narration.No disturbance or distraction of unnecessary song-dance sequence.

Overall,Mardaani is very good film and is a must watch.

ENTERTAINMENT

ENTERTAINMENT: is a Bollywood slapstick comedy film directed by duo Sajid-Farhad starring Akshay Kumar ,Tamannaah Bhatia,Johnny Lever,Mithun Chakraborty,Prakash Raj,Sonu Sood.

PLOT:Akhil Lokhande( Akshay Kumar) wa s struggling hard for his hospitalized father(Darshan Jariwala) and but he realized that the person for whom he was doing three jobs a day wasn’t his real father.Everytime his girlfriend Saakshi's(Tamannah) father(Mithun) insulted him as he was poor.Then Akhil came to know that he as the Najayez aulad of Pannalal Johri,one of the richest diamond merchants in Bankok and he was no more. He flied to Bankok with his friend Jugnoo(Krushna Abhishek) to claim his birth right but his dreams were shattered when he came to know that Pannalal in his will had given his Rs 3000 cr property to a dog (Junior) named Entertainment who saved Pannalal's life several times.Pannalal’s cousin brother Karan(Prakash Raj) and Arjun(Sonu Sood  ) also wanted the property and acquired the property from the Entertainment by cheating .At first,Akhil wanted to kill the dog but oneday Entertainment saved Akhil's life.Then he felt sorry for his behavior and decided to help Entertainment.

How did Akhil help Entertainment and punish Karan-Arjun were rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Junior was superb.Akshay was very good.Prakash Raj & Sonu Sood were awesum.Johney lever,Mithun,Krushna Abhishek were good.Tamannaah looked very beautiful.

MUSIC: composed by Sachin - Jigar."Tera Naam Doon" was good."Veerey Di Wedding","Johnny Johnny" were so-so.

Main attraction of the movie is the screenplay written by director duo Sajid-Farhad.Funny dialogues,some funny situations will surely entertain you.Junior's acting was mind blowing.But 1st half was quite better than the 2nd half.Climax was simple and predictable.The story line could have been more innovative

Overall,Entertainment is a typical mindless comedy,ideal movie for timepass.Otherwise this is a one time watch film.

KICK

KICK: is a bollywood action thriller comedy film, directed and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala featuring Salman Khan in the lead role, alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda,Mithun Chakraborty and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.It is a remake of the Ravi Teja starrer 2009 Telugu film of the same name.

PLOT: Shaina (Jaqueline Fernandez) was a Psychiatrist living in Poland. One day, her father(Saurabh Shukla) brought a marriage proposal and asked her to meet Himanshu tyagi (Randeep Hooda) who was a police officer. Himanshu and Shaina met in a train where Shaina revealed about her ex-boyfriend, Devi Lal Singh (Salman Khan), was adventurous guy searching for Kick in every situation,already left 32 jobs as he couldn't find his kick there.This casual attitude made Shaina angry and they broke up.Shaina still couldnt forget Devi.Now Himanshu told that he was in poland to catch a dangerous thief named Devil who already theft millions.Himanshu came to know that Devil was planning to rob Shiv Gazra(Nawazuddin Siddiqui),nephew of Indian home minister,ran illegal bussines in disguise of a charitable trust.
Can Devil rob Shiv Gazra?Can Himanshu arrest Devil?why he was doing all this ? what he will do with that money ?These questions forms the climax.

PERFORMANCES: Its a totaly Salman's film and he delivered a very good performance.Jacqueline looked very pretty and hot.Probably she looked best till date in this film.Randeep was good.Mithun was very good.Nawazuddin was superb.

MUSIC: composed by Himesh Reshammiya and Meet Bros Anjjan. Yo Yo Honey Singh.Songs "Jumme Ki Raat","Hangover","Yaar Naa Miley" were good to listen.

Good story line,good acting performances,awesome action sequences,foot tapping music,beautiful song picturisation made this film a good entertainer. 2 hrs 30mins of full enjoyment.

Overall, Kick is completely masala entertainer but its quite different from Salman's films or probably this is the best film of Salman in last few years.Kick is surely must watch.
