BADSHAHI ANGTI

BADSHAHI ANGTI: is a thriller film directed by Sandip Ray, based on the novel of same name by Satyajit Ray starring Abir Chatterjee,Sourav Das,Paran Bandyopadhyay,Deepankar De,Bharat Kaul,Biswajit Chakraborty.

PLOT: Feluda (Abir Chatterjee) and his cousin Topshe (Sourav Das) visit Lucknow with Topshe's father (Deepankar De) to spend the Puja vacation.They stayed at the house of Dhirendra Kumar Sanyal (Biswajit Chakraborty), a friend of Topshe's father.There,they meet Dr.Shrivastav(Bharat Kaul).They came to know from Dr.Shrivastav that he has a  'Ring of Aurangzeb' which was given to him by Pyarilaal Seth & someone wants to steal it.So he decided to keep that ring at Dhiru uncle's custody.But next day,the ring was missing from there.Meanwhile, Feluda meets an interesting person in doctor's neighbourhood, Mr. Bonobihari Sarkar (Paran Bandyopadhyay).Bonobihari babu has ferocious and poisonous creatures like crocodile, African tiger,hyena, rattlesnake, scorpion and black widow spider in his own home.Now Feluda & Topshe started investigation.How did  they solve the mystery was rest of the story.

PERFORMANCE: Abir as Feluda was very good.As per the storyline,a fresh & young face required for the role of Feluda & Abir was perfect match.He tried very hard to justify his role.Sourav Das as Topshe was total blunder & wrong choice for this popular character.Paran Bandyopadhyay was also very good.Biswajit Chakraborty,Bharat Kaul,Deepankar De were also good.

After watching Soumitra Chatterjee & Sabyasachi Chakraborty portraying the role of Feluda,it will be little hard to accept Abir as Feluda as its his 1st Feluda film.Lal Mohan Ganguly aka Jatayu was very much missed.Cinematography,background score were not up to the mark.

Overall,Badshahi Angti is surely watchable film but this is not the best Feluda film directed by Sandip Roy.

Last word : I am feeling...."সিনেমা টা ঠিক জমল না"...

ACTION JACKSON

ACTION JACKSON: is an action masala film directed by Prabhu Deva featuring Ajay Devgn in a double role, alongside Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam, Manasvi Mamgai, Kunaal Roy Kapur and Anand Raj.

PLOT: The film is about Vishi (Ajay Devgn) who is a small goon in his area but is good at heart.He loves beating up people to the tunes of music beats and mixes dancing with action sequences.Khushi (Sonakshi Sinha) who bumps into him in the changing room of a mall to see him naked. And this girl starts stalking him simply so she can see him naked again.Khushi believed to be unlucky and she thinks that seeing naked Ajay Devgn brings her good luck.Vishi being chased by everyone around -- right from the local cops to well suited-booted goons and even a don Xavier(Anand Raj) sitting in Bangkok.It is then revealed that Vishi resembles an extremely skilled criminal Jai aka AJ.Don's psycho sister Marina(Manasvi) is in love with AJ but he is in love with Anusha(Yami).So, Marina & Xavier tried to kill Anusha but failed.They leave her brutally injured.AJ escapes to India and get her treated.Oneday Vishi sees AJ to kill Xavier's men.So lives of the two Ajay Devgns clash and drama begins. How the duo win over the ever-scheming, superbly cunning villains is rest of the story.

PERFROEMANCES: Ajay was very good.Sonakshi only looked very beautiful.Yami was ok.Kunaal Roy Kapur as Vishi's close friend Musa was good.Anand Raj was so-so.

MUSIC: composed by  Himesh Reshammiya.Only the song "Keeda" was good.

Poor story,bad script as well as direction.Dialogues,music failed to impress. 2nd half was little better than 1st half.Only thing is watchable is the fighting sequences.They were extremely good and beautifully executed.

Overall,Action Jackson is a disappointing film.I expected more from Prabhu Deva after delivering the films like Wanted,Rowdy Rathore & R....Rajkumar.U can watch this film if u r Ajay Devgn fan.Otherwise give it a miss.

UNGLI

UNGLI: is a Hindi comedy drama film directed by Rensil D'Silva starring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Randeep Hooda, Neil Bhoopalam, Angad Bedi , Neha Dhupia and Sanjay Dutt.

PLOT: Four Friends: crime reporter Abhay (Randeep Hooda), medical intern Maya (Kangana Ranaut), computer engineer Goti (Neil Bhoopalam), and car mechanic Kalim (Angad Bedi) after an unfortunate incident created a vigilante gang called the Ungli gang turn into masked vigilantes by night.Commissioner of Police(Raja Murad) gave this case to ACP Ashok Kale(Sanjay Dutt) and ordered him to arrest the gang by any means.Nikhil(Emran) was also a cop and was the son of Kale's deceased colleague.Kale put Nikhil into the ungli gang as informer.So he could catch them red handed.Nikhil after spending time with the gang,he realized that the gang actually helped society.So he revolted against Kale.At the same time,Kale fell into a problem created by his own police department.So Kale took help from the gang.How did Ungli Gang help Kale & what happend to the gang at last were rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Emran & Sanajy Dutt were very good as usual.Yes.Emran has kissing scene too but just 1.Randeep was good.Kangna looked good but she didn't have much acting scope.Neha Dhupia as reporter was okay.

MUSIC: composed by  Salim-Sulaiman, Sachin-Jigar, Gulraj Singh.The song "Nach Basanti" was very good composed by Sachin-Jigar and the song "Pakeezah" was also good composed by Gulraj Singh.

A simple but well handled story having a social message & film also has Good acting.

Overall,Ungli is one time watch film from the point of entertainment & recommended for home viewing

HAPPY ENDING

HAPPY ENDING : is a  is a Hindi romcom Bollywood movie directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. staring Saif Ali Khan,Ileana D'Cruz,Kalki Koechlin,Ranvir Shorey and Govinda.

PLOT:In LA,writer Yudi (Saif Ali Khan) who had written just one book before 5.5yrs which was a bestseller and since then he was just planning his next book.The royalty which he got from his book,managed to live his life without any tension.That book gave him fame,money,lots of girlfriends.He loved girls but not ready for commitment.Suddenly,he faced the truth that his earning was about to finish.So he had to start writing again but he couldn't write as he thought it was writer's block.At that time,he was dating Visakha(Kalki),a dentist.Yudi wanted to get rid off that relationship.Yudi's publisher Gary informed that Yudi's contract had been transferred to a new romantic novel writer Aanchal Reddy(Ileana D'Cruz) and Gary also informed that he had a offer for Yudi. That was he had to write a movie script for bollywood single screen superstar Aarman(Govinda) whos insisted Yudi to copy Hollywood movies and wrote a multiplex-style rom-com KICKASS script.Yudi agreed but unable to write.So Yudi tried to charm Aanchal and spend time with her.So that he could get inspiration for her as she was romantic novel writer.But Yudi fell in love with Aanchal and when he expressed his feelings,he discovered that Aanchal was also like him and not ready for any commitment.Aanchal went back to India.Now how did Yudi get back Anchal,did he able to overcome the writer's bolck and could he succeeded to write KICKASS script for Aarman were rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: From Salaam Namastey to Cocktail,Saif is doing same  playboy type roles and he managed to impress.His acting was good.Illeana did a good job and probably this is her best performance in bollywood film.Govinda was superb.He is back in form.In Kill Dil,he very much disappointed us but in this film he just rocks.Ranvir Shorey as Montu,married(would be father) friend of Yudi was good.Its good to see Priety Zinta in special appearance in this movie.She did justice to her role.

MUSIC: composed by Sachin-Jigar done a decent job with the songs.The songs "Pussy Cat","Haseena tu","G Phaad Ke"  were good.

Common story line which was used in bollywood for several time but the script,situation,dialogues,treatment made some differences.The credit goes to the director duo.

Overall,Happy ending is a one time decent watch.Its a light hearted rom-com film.U can enjoy to some extend.

KILL DIL

KILL DIL: is a romantic action film directed by Shaad Ali featuring  Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar,Parineeti Chopra and Govinda.

PLOT: Dev (Ranveer) and Tutu (Ali) were two orphans who had been brought up by a local goon Bhaiyaji (Govinda)  who trained them to be killers.Dev met Disha(Parineeti) & Dev fells for her and started bunking his work (which was killing people) and Tutu kept covering for him. But not for long. Bhaiyaji soon discovered the truth.Dev left that job & took job in a insurance company.Bhaiyaji tried his best to bring back his Dev.Now Dev was in dilemma that if he choose bhaiyaji's work and  Disha came to know about Dev's past then she would leave him.On otherside,if Dev tried to leave Bhaiyaji's job then Bhaiyaji would kill him.Now whom did Dev choose and how did he manage his life were rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Ranveer was good.Ali Zafar was ok.Parineeti only looked hot & beautiful.Govinda's acting talent was killed by the script & director.He was unable to deliver his talent.We can see famous sanskari purush of the universe Mr. Aloke Nath as owner of the insurance company.

MUSIC: composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.Songs like "Kill Dil (Title Song)","Sweeta"  & "Sajde"  were good.

Old story which bollywood has used several times.predictable script,poor direction.Some dialogues and funny sequences are good but those are not enough.

Overall,Kill Dil is not at all watchable film.We had expectation to watch a good film From director of Saathiya & Bunty aur Bably but this film totally fails to impress.If u have enough time to kill then watch Kill Dil.

KHAAD

KHAAD: is bengali film directed by Kaushik Ganguly starring Kaushik Ganguly,Kamaleswar Mukherjee  Pallavi Chatterjee, Ardhendu Banerjee, Lily Chakraborty, Rudranil Ghosh, Gargi Roy Choudhury, Bharat Kaul,Koushik Banerjee, Saheb Bhattacharya, Tanushree Chakraborty, Mimi Chakraborty, Tridha Choudhury.

PLOT: Due to train strike, a group of tourists,mostly unrelated to each other,got struck in New Mal Junction.There are honeymooners(Saheb & Mimi), family vacationers(Pallavi Chatterjee,Koushik Banerjee.Tridha Choudhury) an ailing mother and her son(Lily Chakraborty,Kaushik Ganguly) a priest(Ardhendu Banerjee),one heroine & her abnormal brother( Gargi Roy Choudhury,Rajdeep Ghosh),one trekker(Kamaleshwar Mukherjee),Bus conductor(Rudranil) and one retired teacher(Maasud Akthar).One of the tourists Father arranged one bus from church to reach North Bengal.He gave lift to the other tourists also.But the bus met with a terrible accident. The bus fell off a cliff into an abyss, but the tourists were not killed. Injured and traumatized.They became completely detached from the human contact.It was not possible to climb 400-500ft so easily.So they decided spend that night there.and thought that next day,they would try to find another way out.During spending that night they decided to play one game to spend the time.Father suggested one game which was to reveal everyone's secret or anything that he/she wanted to confess.So that from next day,they could begin a new/fresh life.Everyone agreed.Gradually,the situation started changing when the game entered into deep level& everyine's darkest secrets were revealed.The movie ends with unimaginable twist that will make u spellbound form sometimes

PERFORMANCES: Each and everyone were superb,brilliant in their respective roles.Speciaaly Lily Chakraborty,Kaushik Ganguly,Kamaleshwar Mukherjee & Mimi Chakraborty.They were just mind blowing.

MUSIC: Compsed by Indraadip Dasgupta.All songs are brilliant composition matched with the situation.

A very beautiful script,very good direction,awesome acting made this a complete film.

Overall,Khaad is a must watch film and one of the finest bengali films of 2014.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

HAPPY NEW YEAR: is a comedy-drama film directed by Farah Khan starring Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, Sonu Sood and Jackie Shroff.

PLOT: The film revolves around 6 'losers'; Charlie (Shah Rukh Khan), Mohini (Deepika Padukone), Nandu (Abhishek Bachchan), Tammy (Boman Irani), Jag (Sonu Sood), Rohan (Vivaan Shah) and their hunt for revenge and respect.Charlie wants to take revenge from Charan Grover (Jackie Shroff) because he betrayed Charlie's father Manohar Sharma(Anupam Kher), which landed him in jail and led to his death.Grover runs a safety lockers' business and now that he will be shielding an expensive diamond at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai, Charlie will steal it.Coincidently the day the diamond is going to arrive there is a dance competition at the same hotel. Charlie forms a group of people who are good enough to steal but not good dancers.Now they will take the help of a bar dancer Mohini (Deepika Padukone) to learn dancing and will eventually make their way to the vault.
How Charlie manages to do is rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: SRK has worked hard on his body for this film and he does a fine job of flaunting it.Deepika puts in sincere efforts but is limited because of the script.Among 6 leading characters,Sonu Sood is brilliant. Abhishek Bachchan performs well too.

MUSIC: composed by Vishal-Shekhar.The songs "India Waale","Manwa Laage" ,"Lovely" are good.

Poor script,predictable which bores u sometimes but it has some very good comedy sequnces,comedy dialogues which will surely make u lough.The film is long enough which is not bearable.Farah Khan is very much inspired by bollywood film industry & patriotism which make huge impact on the script of every film directed by her.

Overall,Happy New Year is ok type film which is better than Chennai Express(personaly I feel that).Its a one time watch.
