RAEES

RAEES: is a 2017 Indian action crime thriller film directed by Rahul Dholakia stars Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan,Atul Kulkarni and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

PLOT: Raees(SRK), from Fatehpur, Gujarat gets involved in illegal liquor trade at a very young age. Along with Sadiq(Zeeshan), Raees works for a notorious gangster Jairaj(Atul), smuggles alcohol illegally by bribing the police. Though he is a smuggler, he lives by the philosophy, as taught by his mother that every occupation is good, and no religion is greater than any occupation till it does not cause any harm to anyone. He decides to part ways with Jairaj and start operating on his own. He meets Musabhai and Nawab in Mumbai, and with their help he starts his bootlegging business. Meanwhile, an honest police offer of the IPS cadre, J. A. Majmudar(Nawaz), wants to end this illegal liquor trade as well as Raees's empire. Is he Majmuder able to do this or Raees saves his all by beating Majmuder forms rest of the story.

PERFORMANCE: Shah Rukh is good as always, casts in a character that has grey shades. The person who steals the show is Nawaz.Starting from the entry scene,he delivers a brilliant performance.Maahira has nothing to do.Atul Kulkarni makes his presence felt with a committed performance.

MUSIC: is composed by Ram Sampath."Zaalima" is the only song which u can remembe.Sunny Leone starrer Laila o Laila is recreated which is also good.

The first hour unravels at a feverish pace, making you thirst for the second half. But it’s here that the problem arises. The pace slackens soon after the intermission and the romantic song and a few sequences act as spoilers.Climax sequence is not also impressive.

Overall,Raees is one time watch for SRK & Nawaz.

KAABIL

KAABIL :  is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language crime drama film, directed by Sanjay Gupta starring Hrithik Roshan, Yami Gautam, Ronit Roy, Rohit Roy, Narendra Jha.

PLOT: Rohan(Hrithik) is a kind, happy young man who has been blind since birth and works as a voice-over artist for a living. Through friends, he meets Supriya(Yami), a working woman who is also blind, but proudly independent. The two start liking each other and get married.Oneday Rohan is at work, Amit(Rohit) and Wasim sneak into the house and gang rape Supriya. Rohan’s world is plunged into even more darkness than the one he is born into. Supriya commits suicide after raped by Amit & Wasim for 2nd time. The rapist Amit is the brother of the local corporator, Madhavrao Shellar(Ronit Roy), so the corrupt police officers, played efficiently by Narendra Jha and Girish Kulkarni, drag their feet over the investigation. When the humiliation gets too much to bear, Supriya caves in, leaving Rohan with vendetta on his mind. Rohan decides to fight it out, but his opponents are the powerful and influential . Will he be able to settle scores?

PEFORMANCES: The highlight of the film is Hrithik’s bravura performance. He is vulnerable as a lover and menacing as a killing-machine.Probably, this is Hrithik’s best performance till date. Yami Gautam is unmistakably earnest and catches you unaware with a tremendous act. Her innocence and simplicity act as a magnetic charm. Ronit Roy is at his vicious best here. Absolutely menacing as the conniving politician. Rohit Roy is intimidating and leaves a strong impression.

MUSIC: is composed by Rajesh Roshan. In fact, the film borrows two evergreen compositions from the past [‘Saara Zamana’ and ‘Dil Kya Kare’], but the accomplished composer garnishes them delightfully. The songs “Kaabil”,”Mon Amour” are harmonious.

KAABIL never fails to involve and entertain the moviegoer and if I may say so, it contains enough worthy material to hold the moviegoer’s attention for most of its run time. The emotional component is well balanced with low-key humor, tension-filled moments, energetic action pieces and of course, some razor-sharp and punch-packed dialogue in dramatic sequences [penned by Sanjay Masoomm].

Overall, Kaabil is a must watch film. In the end, it’s the emotional journey of the protagonist that acts as a hook and lingers in your memory

DANGAL

DANGAL: Dangal (English: Wrestling competition) is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language biographical sports drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari featuring Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra,Girish Kulkarni.

PLOT: When Mahavir Singh Phogat (Aamir), a wrestler from Haryana, loses hope of having a son, he trains his daughters Geeta (Fatima) and Babita (Sanya) to make wrestling history, thus breaking the taboo of Indian women participating in a sport thus far dominated by men.One day, Mahavir gets to know that his young daughters have had an altercation with neighbourhood boys and bashed them black and blue. That’s when he realises that his dream of winning a gold medal for the country in wrestling could be achieved by his daughters. Mahavir decides to train his young daughters into world class wrestlers. The girls are reluctant initially and find it tough to cope with the gruelling training sessions, but soon become proficient in the sport. Will Geeta and Babita manage to fulfill their father’s dream?

PERFORMANCES; DANGAL is, without a shred of doubt, an Aamir Khan show all the way. He takes giant strides as an actor and gives the film the much-needed power. His expressions, body language and the much-talked-about transformation from a fit and fine young wrestler to a pot-bellied, middle-aged father speak volumes. Another commanding performance that needs to be highlighted is that of Sakshi Tanwar. She compliments Aamir’s character marvellously, displaying the varied emotions seamlessly. Fatima is fantastic as Aamir’s daughter, who makes her father and nation proud of her achievements -he actors who portray their younger parts -- Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar -- excel.Aparshakti Khurrana is an actor to watch out for. Enacting the part of Aamir's nephew, the youngster not only contributes immensely to some lively and wonderful moments, but also delivers a first-rate performance. Ritwik Sahore [Aparshakti's younger part] is equally efficient. Girish Kulkarni [coach] is, again, a hugely competent actor, who shines in his part.

MUSIC: composed by Pritam.‘Haanikaarak Bapu’, ‘Dhaakad’, ‘Gilehriyaan’ and the title track are already well-liked and the best part is, they have been smartly integrated into the proceedings.

The wrestling sequences are superbly executed. Be it the training sessions or the dhobi-pachhads or vanquishing the opponents in the akhada and in the ring, it’s a delight to watch these sequences on screen. Will surely evoke whistles and applause. Editing [Ballu Saluja] is razor-sharp and watertight. There’s no room for restlessness or boredom here.

Overall,Dangal is them must must must watch for everyone.

BEFIKRE

BEFIKRE: is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film written, directed, and produced by Aditya Chopra featuring Ranveer Singh, Vaani Kapoor.

PLOT: A young and carefree Dharam(Ranveer) landing up in Paris at the behest of his friend, who gives him a job of a stand-up comedian in his night club. On one of the party-hopping spree, Dharam meets a tour guide Shyra(Vaani), a French girl of Indian origin. A couple of casual encounters later, the strong minded Dharam and Shyra decide to have a live in relationship, vowing not to say ‘stupid’ things like ‘I love you’, because it will put an end to their carefree lives. Even when they break up with each other, they even land up celebrating that as well. All is well till the time a smart and well educated Anya (Armaan Ralhan) enters Shyra’s life. After a few meetings and partying with Shyra, Anya proposes marriage to her. When Dharam gets to know about Shyra’s marriage, he shocks Shyra by announcing his marriage to a French girl Christine. What happens after that, are a series of events that changes everyone’s equation with each other. What are the events that change the course of their lives, do Shyra and Dharam ever break their rule and mouth the three magic words to each other, who does Shyra choose ultimately between Dharam and Anya, is what forms the rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: Ranveer Singh, who has time and again, reinvented himself with every passing film. Besides his perfect comic timing, the energy and the freshness that he brings to the screen is extremely infectious.Vaani Kapoor exhibits her screen presence in BEFIKRE with élan and style.

MUSIC: composed by Vishal & Sekhar."Labon Ka Karobaar", "Nashe Si Chadh Gayi" , "Ude Dil Befikre","Je t'aime" are foot tapping & good to listen.

The film's screenplay (Aditya Chopra) is a coming-of-age, fast paced, entertaining and has more to it than just the kisses, dares and frivolous one-night stands but main story is the same Yash Raj film types.Nothing new in it.The climax was extremely silly & mindless.
Probably,This is Aditya Chopra's weakest film till date.

Overall, Befikre is not worth watching movie. It can be ignored.

DEAR ZINDAGI

DEAR ZINDAGI: is a 2016 Indian coming of age drama film written and directed by Gauri Shinde starring Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Kunal Kapoor, Angad Bedi, Ali Zafar.

PLOT: The film is set in Mumbai and Goa. Kaira is a promising cinematographer. Her cheerful life becomes a nightmare when the guy she loves, a film producer, Raghuvendra(Kunal) ends up engaged to someone else, and for whom she breaks up with a restobar owner, Sid(Angad). This news totally shatters the visibly distorted Kaayra. That’s when she happens to meet the renowned psychiatrist Dr. Jehangir Khan aka Jag (Shah Rukh Khan). Thereafter starts her therapy session with Jag. It is through these sessions that Jag gets to know that Kaayra has been silently suffering from many issues caused during her tender childhood. Gradually during the therapy sessions, a strong bond develops between Kaayra and Jag,so much so that she openly confides all about her past and present day happenings to Jag. While doing so, Kaayra realises that she actually has fallen for Jag. What happens to Kaayra in the end, whom she chooses to spend her life with, does the counsellor-patient relationship between Kaayra and Jag get converted into a love relationship, is what forms the rest of the film.

PERFORMANCES: Alia Bhatt is simply growing from strength to strength. The flawlessness with which she infuses emotions in her character is something that needs to be seen in order to be believed. The onscreen chemistry that Alia Bhatt shares with all her co-stars is simply amazing. But, what really takes the cake is her impeccable onscreen chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan that grabs the audiences by their collar. Shah Rukh Khan, on the other hand, does an equally fine job with his character. DEAR ZINDAGI definitely is Shah Rukh Khan’s finest and matured role after CHAK DE! INDIA.

MUSIC: composed by Amit Trivedi. The songs "Love You Zindagi" ,"Tu Hi Hai" are good.

The story and screenplay (Gauri Shinde) is a sincere attempt in the genre of slice of life. It presents the complications of life in a simplified manner. What does not work in the film’s favour are its length (mostly the second half), its disconnect with the audiences and the snail-paced narrative of the film. If that wasn't enough, despite the flying start in its first half, the film gets preachy and sermonising.

Overall,Dear Zindagi is a good film & surely watchable for the storyline and performances by SRK & Alia

KAHAANI 2: DURGA RANI SINGH : is a 2016 Indian thriller film directed by Sujoy Ghosh starring Vidya Balan, Arjun Rampal, Jugal Hansraj. It is the sequel to 2012 film Kahaani and the second installment of Kahaani franchisee.

Sub-Inspector Inderjeet Singh (Arjun Rampal), who is the officer in charge of the case. While investigating, he gets hold of Vidya’s personal diary (in which she has written about all the events involving her and Mini), which shakes his world completely. On his journey to uncover the truth Inderjeet discovers Vidya Sinha’s diary that shocks him completely, what is the mystery prevailing between Vidya Sinha and Durga Rani Singh and does Vidya Sinha ultimately land up saving her daughter Mini is what forms the rest of the film.

PERFORMANCES: Vidya Balan owns the film totally, her performance is only next to being flawless. The movie gives Vidya Balan a perfect platform to display an array of her emotions. Be it the caring and concerned mother, the conniving lady or convict, Vidya Balan gets into the skin of her character effortlessly. The fact that she looks ugly and unkempt in most parts of the film did require a hell lot of courage.Arjun impresses as the cop hankering for a promotion and is believable as the husband.Kharaj Mukherjee,Tota Roychowdhury are good in their respective roles.

MUSIC: composed by Clinton Cerejo."Mehram" is good.

Story, climax are very much predictable & it fails to keep a tight grip on proceedings throughout its duration.Camera work is good.Amidst all this, it's the emotional quotient raised by Vidya Balan that forms the crux of the hard hitting film based on a sensitive issue.

Overall,Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh is one time watch only.

These killings not just shock the Indian RAW wing, but also a send them into tizzy about the crime suspects and their agenda behind these killings. Amidst all this, they also discover that there is a mole (informer/ leak) in the Budapest Embassy, who is leaking all the vital information to the Chinese government, for reasons best known to him only. What is it that Yash and KK are failing to see and how will they solve this case involving the RAW agents, is what forms the rest of the film.

PERFORMANCES: John Abraham delivers yet another power packed performance in FORCE 2. John’s role in FORCE 2 seems to be totally tailor made for him.Sonakshi Sinha, not just complements John Abraham’s character in FORCE 2, but also walks shoulder-to-shoulder with him. Unlike a typical Bollywood heroine, FORCE 2 sees its Sonakshi Sinha as an extremely strong character.Tahir Raj Bhasin convincingly continues his villainous streak in FORCE 2 as well. Even though he does his job exceedingly well in FORCE 2.

MUSIC: composed by Amaal Mallik,Gourov Roshin & no song is worth mentioning.

The film’s cinematography (Imre Juhasz, Mohana Krishna) is top-notch. On the other hand, the film’s editing (Amitabh Shukla, Sanjay Sharma) is crisp and devoids the film of any dull moment. A special word of mention to the film’s action/ stunt director (Franz Spilhaus) for infusing such a wholesome ‘punch’ in the form of non-stop action, right from the word go. The film’s USP is its breath taking action sequences.

Overall, Force 2 is good to watch movie.
