HIGHWAY: is a Bollywood drama film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali starring Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
PLOT: Days ahead of her wedding, Veera Tripathi (Alia Bhatt),daughter of a politically connected Delhi tycoon M.k.Tripathi, went for a drive to highway with her fiancée after getting bored by many days running marriage rituals.At a deserted gas station off the highway, Veera was abducted by a gang led by a gruff, rustic criminal Mahabir Bhati (Randeep Hooda).Now the journey began through highway to hide from police.Rest of movie was about the journey through many cities across India,relationship betwn Veera & Mahabir,fate of their relationship.....
PERFORMANCES: Alia Bhatt was superb,excellent.After the glamorous role in 'Student Of The Year',Alia was seen in a completely different avatar.Randeep Hooda was very good and natural.
MUSIC: created by A.R.Rahman.Every song has his signatures.The song "Patakha guddi" and "Mahi ve" were superb composition.
Basicallt,this is a road movie.Awesum cinematography by Anil Mehta.Th film was typical Imtiaz Ali's complicated love story.It was differnt film but somehow th film will leave u dissatisfied.
Overall,Highway is above average film.Surely u can watch it for brilliant acting of Alia Bhatt and beautiful cinematography.
