DILWALE

DILWALE: is a 2015 Indian romantic musical action comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon Johnny Lever ,Mukesh Tiwari ,Sanjay Mishra and Varun Sharma.

PLOT: Ex-don-now-car-re-modeller Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) aka Kali lives a peaceful life with his younger brother Veer (Varun Dhwan) on whom he dotes.Together, they run a garage where they modify and repair cars, giving them a makeover. His two friends, Anwar (Pankaj Tripathi) and Shakti (Mukesh Tiwari) are an intrinsic part of his life and are privy to his dubious past of 15 years ago, which he has buried and about which no one else knows.Veer meets and falls for Ishita (Kriti Sanon) and expectedly gets assistance from Raj in his pursuit.Things become a problematic when Ishika's sister, Meera (Kajol) arrives.Turns out Raj has a history with Ishita's sister Meera (Kajol).
The story moves to 15 years ago, to a distant Bulgaria. Raj here is known as Kali, a dreaded Indian gangster. Two warring dons, Malik (Kabir Bedi) and Randhir Bakshi (Vinod Khanna),father of Kali, share a khandani dushmani in Bulgaria over some gold biscuits.Like a fresh breath of air, enters Kajol (Meera). Meera is Kabir Bedi's daughter and she tries to trap Raj in her love. However, when the two realise their 'real' affecton for each other, they decides to marry. The two families decide to meet and what happens there doesn't stay there by the way. Their fight with each other gets so intense that one fine day the two dons—Vinod Khanna and Kabir Bedi kill each other.Meera thought that Kali is responsible for this & shoot him.The enmity and misundersting between Kajol and SRK after former's daddy gets killed makes them stay off each other for 15 long years
Now,Will Raj manage his differences with Meera?

PERFORMANCES: Kajol dazzles and it's difficult to take your eyes off her when she's on screen. She looks stunning & steals your heart with a performance that stays in your memory.SRK is at his charismatic best in the young avtaar and carries off the angry, middle-aged guy with aplomb.Varun Dhawan is good as he is a good actor.Kriti looks very gorgeous & has a strong screen presence and is natural. This film boasts of a commanding supporting cast, but the ones who sparkle include Sanjay Mishra [exceptional], Johny Lever [super], Mukesh Tiwari [first-rate] and Pankaj Tripathi [competent]. Boman Irani does exceedingly well. Vinod Khannna and Kabir Bedi, the two veterans, are just right.

MUSIC: composed by Pritam is a ten-on-ten and singer Arijit Singh has once again spilled magic with his voice. Gerua's picturisation will want you to jump to Iceland next very moment.Other songs "Janam Janam" , "Manma Emotion Jaage","Tukur Tukur" are also very very good.

Story is very much predictable. The cinematography and scenes of Bulgaria are breathtaking. Goa has been captured well. Yes, cars do play a big part here, as they do in most Shetty films.Rohit Shetty stresses on vintage stuff [love triumphs against all odds], but he along with screenplay writer Yunus Sajawal narrates it smartly, peppering and garnishing the proceedings with sub-plots that keep you completed captivated.

Overall,Dilwale is a completely masala entertainer & can be watched.

N.B: Personally,I feel after a long time SRK has delivered a better performance than his Om Shanti Om,Chennai Express & Happy New Year.
