FITOOR

FITOOR: is an Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Abhishek Kapoor features Tabu,Aditya Roy Kapur,Mohammed Abrar and Katrina Kaif,Aditi Rao Hydari, Lara Dutta. Its based on Charles Dickens' novel Great Expectations.

PLOT: Noor (Mohammed Abrar) a thirteen-year-old Shikara boy from Kashmir who lives with his elder sister and her husband. The innocent lad is born artist who sketches and soon finds his perfect muse in Firdaus (Katrina Kaif).Noor falls in love with her but Firdaus’ mother Begum Hazrat (Tabu) sent Firdaus away to London for education.erself being a victim of love’s flipside, she plays with Noor and Firdaus’ emotions as though seeking a revenge for her own lost love. After years, young Noor(Aditya) becomes art sensation in Delhi and it is there that he has a rendezvous with Firdaus who By this time is engaged to Bilal (Rahul Bhat), a Pakistani diplomat, but Noor's feelings have not changed and they begin a relationship. Will Begum let this love blossom? Will Noor & Firdaus be together?Rest of the story is all about.

PERFORMANCES: Aditya Roy Kapur as Noor Nizami gives quite a layered & steady performance.Katrina Kaif as Firdaus looks stunning. But when it comes to her act, she does not exactly give us anything great to marvel on or remember.Tabu as Begum Hazrat is clearly the show-stealer of the film. She owns the character of Miss Havisham and one truly feels the pain behind those dark circled eyes that have cried a thousand rivers. She is exceptional in the film with her attitude and her arrogant yet heart-broken tone.Rahul Bhat is seen in a supporting role as Bilal, Firdaus’ fiancĂ© and he does a good job.Aditi Rao Hydari looks stunning as the young Begum.

MUSIC: is composed by Amit Trivedi.only 'Fitoor' and 'Pashmina' stands out.

The film is visually stunning.Kashmir is brilliantly captured by Anay Goswamy's camera. The costumes are attractive. The scene of the bomb blast seems so real and comes so sudden that it will surely give you a jerk.
Director seems extremely confused in his narrative of Fitoor. The screenplay is disappointing & confusing. There are many scenes in the film that do no good to the film, but only land up confusing the viewers

Overall,Fitoor is one time watch only for performances by the leading characters & great visuals.
