YOUNGISTAAN

YOUNGISTAAN: is a Bollywood film directed by Syed Ahmad Afzal starring Jackky Bhagnani, Neha Sharma, Farooq Sheikh. This was Farooq Sheikh's last film in big screen.

PLOT: Abhimanyu Kaul (Jackky Bhagnani) lived in Japan with his girlfriend Anvita (Neha Sharma) & worked as videogame developer for Japanese gaming company.Suddenly his life changed completely when his father Dasharath Kaul(Boman Irany) who was also the PM of India died of cancer.Afer PM's death, the party ABKP decided to make Abhimanyu the PM.Then he became the youngst PM of India. At the begining,Abhi was finding it difficult to adapt to the situation, and Abhi was under tremendous stress. But after a point, Abhi decided to turn things in his favour by using his hard work, honestly, and above all, a political legacy – a sharp, leading mind without compromising on his personality or lifestyle. He got support from Akbar uncle(Farooq Sheikh), PA to the PM.What happened when an idealistic, political novice who happened to have a live-in girlfriend took over the reins of the country.

PERFORMANCES: Jackky was very good.Neha looked good bt her role as PM's live-in partner was irritating as if she was completely unaware of the duties of PM.She behaved lyk that.Farooq Sheikh was excellent. His natural acting and comic timing will definitely make u smile.Dipankar Dey as senior leader of ABKP,Suvobroto Ganguly was also good.

MUSIC:  Jeet Ganguly, Sneha Khanwalkar, Shiraz Uppal, Shree Isshq."suno na sange marmar" was only song in this film was very good composed and well picturised.

Having a new & very interesting story line, director Afzal concentrated on Abhimanyu and Anwita’s love story rather than the intricacies of how a young man adapts to hardcore politics.

Overall,Youngistaan is a one time watch film.Watch it for good plot.

N.B:The main characters in the film depict roles of Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. From something as basic as how Jackky waves at the masses, eats with the poor, addresses the public, the way he walks, talks and wears clothes, everything is modeled on Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. He also talks of youth and change in the country and making it democratic and nominating one senior most member of the party as President of India.
