PIKU

PIKU: is a comedy-drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar starring Amitabh Bachchan , Deepika Padukone ,Irrfan Khan,Jisshu Sengupta,Moushumi Chatterjee.

PLOT:Bhaskor Banerjee (Amitabh Bachchan) is a Bengali, based in the Delhi’s Chittaranjan Park with his roots deeply soiled in his hometown – Kolkata. His bizarre passion and obsession for constipation drives his only daughter Piku (Deepika Padukone) crazy. He traces every problem's root to his bowel movements.Piku is sandwiched between her duty towards her father and herself. Her father’s constant interference in every little affair (even the ones related to domestic chores) leaves her completely exhausted. She co-owns an organisation along with her business partner Syed (Jisshu Sengupta) but has little time to focus on her work because of her father’s “potty” related issue.Rana Chaudhary (Irrfan) is the owner of a taxi service company that is reeling under the onslaught of Piku's arrogance. While several of his drivers have left because of her attitude, many have caused accidents when faced with her wrath. When Bhashkor emotionally blackmails Piku to take a road trip from Delhi to Kolkata, the owner of the local cab service Rana has no choice but to drive them personally since none of his drivers are willing to endure Piku or her eccentric father.
Rest of story is about the journey from delhi to kolkata & relationship, emotion, bonding, problem with their root.

PERFORMANCES: Big B was just amazingly brilliant. He was absolutely genius. His  expression during dance sequence on the song "Jibone ki pabona" was superb. Deepika was also fantastic. She not only looked very beautiful but also acted extraordinarily. Irrfan was natural & very good.Jisshu,Moushumi Chatterjee were also very good.

MUSIC : Composed by Anupam Roy.All tracks in the album are superb.Specially 'the journey song' & 'Bezubaan' worth mentioning.

A beautiful scrip, awesum dialogues, very cinematography, well direction.Full credit goes to the script writer Juhi Chaturbedi & director Shoojit Sarkar for choosing a topic like this.I am astonished how can one write a movie on potty and one can give direction the film. This is not a film on Potty. This is a film on father-daughter relationship or bonding.

Overall Piku is must watch film.Probably one of the best films of 2015.This film can be watched multiple times.

NB:Piku is so natural film that it does not feel like a movie; it might as well have been a video recording of any family with an ageing parent and a single child taking care of him/her.
