TERAA SURROOR: is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language action-drama film directed by Shawn Arranha starring Himesh Reshammiya and Farah Karimaee ,Naseeruddin Shah, Shekhar Kapur, Kabir Bedi, and Monica Dogra.
PLOT: Raghu (Himesh) is a tough Mumbai gangster who never smiles.Tara (Farah Karimaee) is Raghu’s girlfriend, and she and her mother live in his house.Tara arrives in Dublin as a certain 'Aniruddh Brahmin', the stranger who met Tara on Facebook, invited her to perform on 'India Day' in Dublin. She is caught in Ireland with drugs in her possession. She is convicted.Tara calls Raghu for help.Raghu comes across Enrique Santiago aka 'The Bird' (Naseeruddin Shah), known for his innumerable jail breaks chalks out a plan for Raghu. Will Raghu be able to execute the jailbreak plan, who is the real Aniruddh Brahmin and what was the reason behind him falsely framing Tara in the drugs case is what forms the rest of the story.
PERFORMANCES: The film totally tends to rest on the shoulders of Himesh Reshammiya. His attempt to 'get into the skin of the character' really shows on the screen when we see him flaunting a toned body as per the requirement of his character but remains blank-faced through it all, never cracking a single smile, not even when he is with his girl.Farah Karimaee is not at all impressive. The trio of Kabir Bedi, Shekhar Kapur and Monica Dogra, despite their brief roles, deliver decent performances.
MUSIC: composed by Himesh Reshammiya.Tracks like 'Bekhudi', 'Main Woh Chand', 'Wafa Ne Bewafai' are good. There are catchy songs for every mood and occasion in the script – love song, break-up number, dance track, sad song, redemption song
Himesh Reshammiya has tried hard, but it’s still not working for him.Neither suspenseful in its execution of the escape, nor in the big reveal of the mastermind behind Raghu’s problems, the film seems to exist for no other purpose than to showcase Himesh and his limited talent. His last release 'The Xpose' was better than this film.
Overall,Teraa Surroor is totally disaster film.
