FAN

FAN: is a 2016 Indian thriller film directed by Maneesh Sharma and featuring Shah Rukh Khan,Waluscha DeSousa, Deepika Amin, Yogendra Tiku, Sayani Gupta,Shriya Pilgaonkar.

PLOT: Twenty-five-year-old Gaurav(SRK), an over-obsessive fan, whose life revolves around superstar Aryan(Khan, again) & has spent his life worshiping Aryan Khanna and has parlayed a slight physical resemblance into a hobby impersonating the star at talent shows in his Delhi neighborhood. In his desire to meet his idol, Gaurav embarks on a journey to Mumbai.Like a true fan, Gaurav traces Aryan’s journey in Mumbai – he stays at the same hotel, travels without a ticket... but when he finally reaches the star’s house, the boy from Delhi is lost in the sea of other fans like him.Gaurav doesn’t get a chance to meet Aryan on his birthday but so much is his love for Aryan that he decides to tackle one of the upcoming actors, who had incited Aryan into a tussle, personally.Aryan considers it a "crime". He informs the police to arrest Gaurav, who rough him up. Later, Aryan berates and warns him that he has committed a crime. Heartbroken, Gaurav burns down Aryan's posters and decides to take revenge by discrediting him.Gaurav asking Aryan to apologize in public for his misbehavior else threatening to destroy his stardom. Aryan refuses.
Now,how Gaurav takes revenge from Aryan,How Aryan saves himself from Gaurav what forms the rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: SRK in double role is just brilliant. The way he portrayed the character of Gaurav is highly commendable. If SRK is charming and believable as the superstar, he delivers a sterling performance as the fan with vengeance on his mind.Shriya Pilgaonkar [Neha], Deepika Amin [Gaurav's mother] and Yogendra Tiku [Gaurav's father] are wonderful.

MUSIC: composed by Vishal-Shekhar.The sole track Jabra Fan, a rhythmic, foot-tapping song that's filmed energetically made for promotion only. There is no song in the film.

SRK's transformation as the young fan needs to be lauded, full credit goes to three times Academy Awards winner make-up artist Greg Cannom.
FAN has a brilliant first half, but loses track in the second half, only to pick up again towards the pre-climax. The writing should've been tighter.Climax could be better.

Overall,Fan is surely watchable film. Its quite 'hatke' film from SRK's masala entertainer genre movie which he normally does. But this is not the best film of SRK.

Kia gets a little jealous of all this and tells him to stop publicity of their life.Does Kia ever realise her mistake towards Kabir and apologise, does the couple ever meet and live a happy family is what forms the rest of the story.

PERFORMANCES: The film totally belongs to Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Arjun Kapoor is mighty impressive in the film and has carried the film on his strong shoulders. He gives a balanced performance and never goes overboard.Kareena Kapoor Khan on the other hand looks perfect as the strong head corporate lady. She has stayed away from her usual glamorous look in this film and yet looks stylish. She has portrayed the character of an ambitious woman brilliantly. The veteran actress Swaroop Sampat exudes the same freshness as ever. Her endearing screen presence and persona simply lights up the screen every time she appears. Here, a special mention should also go to Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.Though the couple play themselves in the film, they manage to impress thoroughly in their cameo. The scene with the Bachchans is among the best parts of the film.

MUSIC: composed by Ilaiyaraaja, Meet Brothers, Mithoon. The songs ,"Foolishq", "Ji Huzoori" are melodious but "High Heels" & "Most Wanted Munda" are catchy number.

The storyline is quite innovative. The best part about the screenplay is that it just does not come across as superficial at any point.2nd half of the film is little slow.

Overall,Ki & Ka is a cleverly crafted feel-good film that packs all the emotions & surely watchable.

PERFORMANCES:The film totally belongs to Fawad Khan, Ratna Pathak Shah and Rajat Kapoor. The term that best describes Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah's performances in the film is 'outstanding'.But the show stealer is Rishi Kapoor playing a 90 year old man with the heavy make up. Rishi also brings maximum humor with his cute act as the loveable grandpa.Sidharth Malhotra is decent in his role of the black sheep of the family.Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, has comparatively less screen space. But she simply owns the scenes she is in.

MUSIC: is composed by Amaal Mallik, Badshah, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, and Tanishk Bagchi."Kar Gayi Chull","Bolna","Buddhu Sa Mann" ,"Let's Nacho" are good.

The director delivers a film that doesn't look like fictional movie, but a true life tale of every family. The film's screenplay is brilliant. The humor is very well weaved in the film.It also features the intricacies of a middle class life.

Overall, Kapoor & Sons is surely watchable film for being spontaneous, precise, fast paced and well...lovable. A fantastic family drama after a long time.

PERFORMANCES: It's an out and out John Abraham flick, in which he leads the way from the very start. Even though he may not have many dialogues in the film, his breath taking action is what does most of the talking. He has very sensitively handled the strong bond of relationship between him.Nishikant Kamat does full justice to his villainous avatar.Teddy Maurya also does a good job.Shruti Hassan, who has a special appearance in the film, does justice to whatever little screen time that she gets. Baby Diya Chalwad delivers a very innocent performance.

MUSIC: composed by Sunny Bawra, Inder Bawra, Ankit Tiwari,Bombay Rockers."Rock Tha Party","Aye Khuda" are well composed.Film's background score is good.

One word to describe the unusual fight sequences are 'outstanding'. One really has to applaud Nishikant Kamath for the way he has presented the film - extremely stylish.

TERAA SURROOR

TERAA SURROOR: is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language action-drama film directed by Shawn Arranha starring Himesh Reshammiya and Farah Karimaee ,Naseeruddin Shah, Shekhar Kapur, Kabir Bedi, and Monica Dogra.

PLOT: Raghu (Himesh) is a tough Mumbai gangster who never smiles.Tara (Farah Karimaee) is Raghu’s girlfriend, and she and her mother live in his house.Tara arrives in Dublin as a certain 'Aniruddh Brahmin', the stranger who met Tara on Facebook, invited her to perform on 'India Day' in Dublin. She is caught in Ireland with drugs in her possession. PERFORMANCES: The film totally tends to rest on the shoulders of Himesh Reshammiya. His attempt to 'get into the skin of the character' really shows on the screen when we see him flaunting a toned body as per the requirement of his character but remains blank-faced through it all, never cracking a single smile, not even when he is with his girl.Farah Karimaee is not at all impressive. The trio of Kabir Bedi, Shekhar Kapur and Monica Dogra, despite their brief roles, deliver decent performances.

MUSIC: composed by Himesh Reshammiya.Tracks like 'Bekhudi', 'Main Woh Chand', 'Wafa Ne Bewafai' are good. There are catchy songs for every mood and occasion in the script – love song, break-up number, dance track, sad song, redemption song

Himesh Reshammiya has tried hard, but it’s still not working for him.Neither suspenseful in its execution of the escape, nor in the big reveal of the mastermind behind Raghu’s problems, the film seems to exist for no other purpose than to showcase Himesh and his limited talent. His last release 'The Xpose' was better than this film.

Overall,Teraa Surroor is totally disaster film.

PERFORMANCES: It is undoubtedly Priyanka Chopra who steals the show. Her intimidating screen persona and presence, she delivers a superlative performance, even though it may not qualify to be her career-best.Prakash Jha is impressive, looks fit and speaks well but is completely stiffen during action scenes.Manav Kaul makes no mistakes in getting into the 'skin of his character'.Ninad Kamath, on the other hand, delivers a decent performance.

MUSIC: composed by Salim- Suleiman.has nothing much to boast about, it's the film's background score that works with the narrative.

The storyline of Jai Gangaajal doesn’t offer anything that you haven’t seen before. It is a predictable police drama filled with the usual stereotypes but added that Priyanka Chopra and Prakash Jha's performances engaging.

Overall,Jai Gangaajal is a not up to the mark film & this is one time watch only.

NEERJA

NEERJA: is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language biographical thriller film directed by Ram Madhvani starring Sonam Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Yogendra Tikku, Shekhar Ravjiani.

PLOT: Neerja Bhanot (Sonam Kapoor) is the purser at Pan Am Flight 73 Airlines. She's also a successful model living with her doting mother Rama Bhanot (Shabana Azmi),an ever encouraging father Harish Bhanot (Yogendra Tiku) two brothers in mumbai.Neerja had earlier been in an abusive marriage. The ill-fated flight to New York on which Neerja is the head purser gets hijacked in Karachi by the Libya backed 4 armed Palestinians of the Abu Nidal terrorist group. Her extraordinary courage and presence of mind saved the lives of most of the passengers as she put others before herself. She would have celebrated her 24th birthday on the 7th of September, 1986. Instead, her bullet-ridden body comes back to her devastated family.

PERFORMANCES: Sonam Kapoor has delivered the best performance of a lifetime. she carries it entirely on her shoulder. She looks earnest, scared, benevolent and bold, all at the same time.Shabana Azmi adds another feather to her illustrious cap. The entertaining way in which she speaks Punjabi, the state of temporarily losing one's mind and the way she becomes Rama Bhanot is a good enough reason in itself to watch the film. Yogendra Tiku as Harish Bhanot is very effective in instilling fearlessness in his daughter. One of the terrorists by the name of Khalil looks every bit a hard core terrorist with a maniacal bent of mind.

MUSIC: is composed by Vishal Khurana.'Jeete Hain Chal' and 'Gehra Ishq' are wonderful compositions.

Saiwyn Quadras' smart and gripping screenplay is the backbone of Neerja. Each element, from the narrative structure to the recreation of a 1980s aeroplane, the costumes, styling and Vishal Khurana’s excellent background score are directed towards giving the film its authentic feel.

At 122-minutes, the film stretches towards the end, but you are helplessly ensnared in its magic.

Overall, Neerja is a MUST MUST MUST watch film.Don't you dare to miss this film.
